01 / THE PROJECT
An Operational First Phase.
A Wider Installation.
Pintec installed temporary water services for the first operational phase of Southend Community Diagnostic Centre while progressing the permanent mechanical and public health installation across the wider development.
Appointed by the M&E contractor on a supply and install basis, our package covers incoming water infrastructure, clinical plumbing, drainage, heating and chilled water distribution. The centre includes NHS diagnostic services, consulting rooms, theatres and staff facilities.

Our capabilitiesHeating & Chilled Water
Low temperature hot water (LTHW) and chilled water distribution serving fan coil units, heater batteries and MRI equipment, with threaded mild steel pipework and flanged prefabricated sections.
Drainage & Alterations
Fusion welded HDPE and solvent weld drainage installations, with cast iron used for modifications to drainage services.
Plant Connections & Testing
Plant room pipework, valve sets and equipment connections. The agreed testing scope includes pressure testing services and air and pour testing drainage.

Temporary Water Services
Pintec installed a temporary water heater and isolated part of the water distribution to supply the first phase’s sanitaryware.
The first phase services have been maintained while the permanent installation has progressed across the wider footprint.
WIDER WORKS
Permanent Plant & Distribution
The LTHW Plant Room and pipework connections to four air handling units are installed. The wider package includes chilled water distribution from four rooftop chillers.

LTHW PRIMARY PIPEWORK
From Drawing to Installation.
Pintec developed the boiler and pipework arrangement, with measured layouts and spool drawings used for coordination, fabrication and installation.
